I have played on your lap;
slept on it, for a little nap.
You have seen me raise cry and hue,
a part of my fun gang you were one too.
You made me stand strong,
corrected me when I was wrong.
You wanted me to be fit,
told me to relax and sit.
You showed every day has a sunrise,
every minute in life is a surprise.
The sight of you is a visual treat,
with you by my side I shall not face defeat.
I become a child when I see you,
I hear you say I Love You too.
Oh Marina you are cool and calm,
just as wonderful as my mom!

Lovely poem Maami. I remember walking with you by the side of Marina after the Tsunami. She is someone we admire and she is the mother of resilience. Beautiful I'll tell you that.
